Here’s a photo of my (adorable) little girl posing with her waldorf doll. She’s wearing a cloth diaper cover knitted by my good friend Michelle. I LOVE the rainbow wool. She knows how much I love color and is working on a pair of long knitted pants for Lilah that I can’t wait to see. Lilah carries this little doll around everywhere. She calls it her “bay-bee” and makes crying noises (“way-weh-way”) before giving it hugs and kisses. Sooooo cute. This doll was Lilah’s christmas present from Mike and I. It was hand made in Quebec by Julie of Fee Vertelaine Dolls. I love that she has her one special little doll. Lilah’s opa (my dad) thought it would be a good idea to name Lilah’s doll Astrid (because it’s Latin for star and she’s shaped like a little star). I didn’t think it was such a great idea. I have a feeling Lilah would do a really awesome job of getting out the first syllable of the name, and then wouldn’t bother with the rest…so we’re sticking with “bay-bee” (at least until her speech is a little more developed).
