I photographed Jer, Rebecca and their adorable daughter, C. last Friday evening. Yet another session I had to reschedule because of the rain! I can’t believe this weather lately. I don’t think we’ve had a May this wet in ages.
Jer is another local photographer from the Sarnia Lambton. He owns Jer Wilcocks Photography and is known in the area for his unique wedding photography. I love how he rocks the off camera flash (something that I am totally intimidated to even begin to learn how to use).
I have to admit, I was REALLY intimidated to photograph another photographer. I worried about whether I should show up in all black (the photographer’s uniform), and whether I was going to end up saying something really awkward, or falling off my step ladder. But before the session, I got busy with the babies, and ended up in my usual jeans and ponytail. I left the ladder at home, and we all had a great time. I fell in LOVE with their two year old daughter. C. just turned two in April and is incredibly bright and talkative for her age. She had the cutest expressions and I could hardly tear my camera away from her chubby little face. At the end of the session, Mike showed up with the kids and his pickup truck to help move the bed back home, and Lilah and C. had a hoot jumping on the bed together, both giddy the way kids get right before bedtime.
Jer and Rebecca, it was lovely to meet you. Thank you so much for asking me to photograph your little family. Rebecca, I hope you take me up on the playdate with Lilah.
(side note: Don’t judge me based on the fact that my husband showed up wearing socks with his birkenstocks. I just married the guy, I don’t dress him!)
This is awesome Sarah!!! I REALLY want you to do our photos too! You will become known for being the photographers, photographer!!! 🙂
These photos are magical! Sarah, you have such a gift, these are wonderful. LOVE love the shot of the dandelion up to little C’s face – so compelling, as they all are.
Awesome pics Sarah. Great toss up of Cora, Jer. Beautiful family.
LOve these pics Sarah!!!! I really like the old fashioned bed and quilt!!! You are an amazing photographer and I love that you have an eye for antiques and unique props! Can’t wait to have our shoot on Saturday.
