I photographed the lovely Tate family the other evening. Their adorable daughter I. is going to make the cutest big sister. Her mama is expecting another little girl in a few short weeks. Maternity shoots of parents with little ones are so different from couples expecting for the first time. I ended up capturing more photos of Big Sister and the family together than belly images – but isn’t that the way life is? Big Sister I. was so full of energy and wanted to be right in the middle of everything. While I was pregnant with Lilah, the waiting seemed to stretch on and on while I agonized over every little detail and decision. With Amelia, the pregnancy flew by (just like her newborn stage) because I was already so busy with Lilah. I love LOVE the images from this session. I think it’s the perfect post for Mother’s Day…Genevieve, you are lovely. Cherish these last few weeks – and when I see you again, you’ll be a mother all over again! I recently read that motherhood mostly happens while you are thinking about something else. Right now, with both of my little ones asleep (nestled on either side of me) – I’m thinking of nothing else but how incredibly blessed and happy I am. I am overflowing with so much love.
